The Cisco Firepower 2100 Series consists of four security-focused platforms designed to enhance business continuity and deliver strong threat protection. These devices maintain high performance even when advanced security features are active. They feature a distinctive dual multicore CPU design that efficiently handles firewall operations, encryption, and threat analysis. With a range of throughput options, the series supports deployments from internet gateways to data centers. The Firepower 2130 model also meets Network Equipment Building Standards (NEBS) requirements. These appliances support both Cisco Secure Firewall ASA and Threat Defense (FMC) software, and can operate in either firewall or dedicated intrusion prevention system (IPS) modes.
