About This product
This APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT managers and network administrators to ensure business continuity, data transfer, and uptime during extended power outages. The 3kVA line-interactive 2U rack/tower UPS delivers pure sine wave power, protecting critical electronics during power disruptions. The SMX model includes an IEC 320 C20 input and comes with BS1363A, IEC 320 C20, and Schuko CEE 7/EU1-16P power cords. It features 8 IEC 320 C13 outlets and 1 IEC 320 C19 outlet. The UPS is equipped with a preinstalled Network Management Card for network-based monitoring and management.
The Smart-UPS includes PowerChute Network Shutdown, which ensures the graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters. The SmartSlot at the back of the UPS allows for the addition of a network management card for remote management over the network (network cards sold separately). This UPS can connect to EcoStruxure IT or other third-party centralized management platforms. The SMX3000RMHV2UNC can be converted from a tower or stand-alone UPS to a rack-mount UPS, providing flexibility for various installations.
The SMX UPS comes with a 3-year warranty, while the built-in lead-acid battery has a 2-year warranty. It is compatible with user-replaceable batteries, and the APC replacement battery cartridge restores the UPS to its original performance specifications. The Smart-UPS includes tower-mounting stabilizing feet and rack-mounting brackets, as well as an APC temperature sensor (AP9335T) for monitoring temperature. It features 3 switchable outlet groups for more granular power management and an Emergency Power Off feature for remote shutdown during emergencies.

Models available with preinstalled network cards:
Models with “NC” suffix have pre-installed AP9631 network cards with environmental monitoring
Smart external battery connector:
Accepts external batteries and increases runtime automatically to increase availability
Switched outlet groups:
Reboot hung devices, shed noncritical loads to conserve runtime, and sequence start-up/turn off
