About This Product
The APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT managers and network administrators to ensure business continuity, data transfer, and uptime during extended power outages. This 1000VA line-interactive 2U rack/tower UPS delivers pure sine wave power, protecting critical electronics during power disruptions. It features an IEC 320 C14 input, 8x IEC 320 C13 outlets, and 2x IEC jumper cables.
The UPS includes a SmartSlot for an optional Network Management Card, enabling the graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters via PowerChute Network Shutdown. It can connect to EcoStruxure IT or other third-party centralized management platforms.
The SMX UPS comes with a 3-year warranty, while the built-in lead-acid battery has a 2-year warranty. It supports user-replaceable batteries, and the APC replacement battery cartridge helps restore the UPS to its original performance specifications. The package includes tower-mounting stabilizing feet and rack-mounting brackets.
Additionally, the UPS features two switchable outlet groups for more precise power management and an Emergency Power Off function for remote shutdown during emergencies.

Configurable output from 100 V – 127 V on low-voltage models
High-Voltage models (2 - 3 kVA):
Configurable output from 200 V – 240 V on high-voltage models
Models available with preinstalled network cards:
Models with “NC” suffix have pre-installed AP9631 network cards with environmental monitoring
Smart external battery connector:
Accepts external batteries and increases runtime automatically to increase availability
Switched outlet groups:
Reboot hung devices, shed noncritical loads to conserve runtime, and sequence start-up/turn off
