About This Product
The APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT professionals and network administrators to ensure business continuity and uptime. This 1000VA line-interactive 2U short depth rackmount UPS delivers pure sine wave power, protecting essential electronics during power disruptions. It features an IEC 320 C14 input and 6x IEC 320 C13 outlets.

This rackmount UPS can be converted to a tower configuration with optional stabilizing feet (SMTL2USF sold separately). It offers cloud-based remote power monitoring, firmware upgrades, remote diagnostics, and proactive email notifications with recommended actions. The SmartSlot allows for an optional Network Management Card, facilitating the graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters via PowerChute Network Shutdown.

The UPS can integrate with EcoStruxure IT or other third-party centralized management platforms. It provides surge protection against lightning strikes, power sags, brownouts, and surges. The SMTL UPS comes with a 5-year warranty on both the UPS and the Lithium-ion battery.

Switched outlet group
Control a group of output load receptacles independent from the main UPS:

  • Cycling the entire UPS
  • Sequenced turn ON/OFF
  • Shedding of noncritical loads based on parameters (battery time, runtime remaining and overload)
  • Scheduled time OFF to conserve energy
  • Rebooting hung device without cycling the


Lithium-ion batteries
Operates at higher temperatures without degradation of the performance of the battery. Up to one-third lighter and 3x longer life than VRLA batteries.

Flash upgradeable firmware
Allows for field updates of firmware via communication ports or Network Management Card (NMC).
