The UNAS-2 is designed as a compact network-attached storage solution that balances performance and size. With support for two (2) 3.5-inch hard drive bays, it allows users to configure up to two (2) large-capacity HDDs for either mirrored redundancy or extended storage space. Its desktop form factor and compact size make it suitable for placement in home offices or professional environments where space efficiency is a priority.

Networking and Connectivity
The UNAS-2 includes a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port that ensures fast data transfers and is compatible with multiple speeds, giving flexibility for different networking environments. In addition to its Ethernet connection, the UNAS-2 offers a USB-C expansion port capable of handling 5 Gbps, providing further versatility for external accessories and potential system expansion.

Efficient Power Design
Power efficiency is a core part of the UNAS-2’s design as it ships with a 60 W PoE++ adapter that provides both system power and support for attached drives, reducing the need for multiple power sources and simplifying cabling.
