About this product
The RUCKUS R670 is a high-performance, tri-band indoor access point that brings the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology to mid-range deployments. This powerful AP operates across three frequency bands, supporting 6 spatial streams with a flexible configuration of 2x2:2 in the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, or alternatively 2x2:2 in 2.4GHz and 4x4:4 in 5GHz when operating in dual-band mode. It incorporates cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 capabilities including Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for improved reliability, Preamble Puncturing to minimize interference, 4K QAM Modulation for higher data rates, and support for ultra-wide 320MHz channels.
With an impressive aggregate data rate of 9.34 Gbps, the R670 sets new standards for wireless performance. The inclusion of a 5 Gbps Ethernet port ensures that wired backhaul connectivity keeps pace with the AP's wireless capabilities, preventing any potential bottlenecks and allowing full utilization of the available Wi-Fi bandwidth.
Recognizing the growing diversity of wireless requirements in modern enterprises, the R670 goes beyond traditional Wi-Fi with a built-in IoT radio that supports both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Zigbee protocols. Additionally, its USB port provides flexibility for integrating future wireless technologies, making it a truly converged access solution.
Designed for high-density environments, the R670 excels in deployments ranging from hotel guest rooms and lobbies to classrooms and corporate offices. It delivers exceptional performance for bandwidth-hungry applications like 4K/8K video streaming while simultaneously maintaining the low latency required for voice communications, video conferencing, and other real-time applications with strict quality-of-service demands.
The R670 incorporates several RUCKUS-exclusive technologies that significantly enhance network performance. Its Airtime Decongestion feature optimizes throughput in crowded wireless environments, while Transient Client Management minimizes interference from non-associated devices. The innovative BeamFlex®+ Adaptive Antenna system dynamically adjusts radiation patterns to extend coverage and improve performance across all connected client devices.
For network administrators, the R670 offers scalable management options that accommodate deployments of any size, from small installations to large-scale implementations with thousands of access points. Organizations can choose between cloud-based management for convenience or on-premises controllers for greater control, ensuring seamless operation across diverse network environments.
