The RUCKUS R550 is a Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point designed to deliver higher capacity, stronger coverage, and excellent value in environments where many users and devices connect simultaneously. Positioned as a mid‑range model in the lineup, the R550 operates in dual‑band, dual‑concurrent mode and supports four spatial streams (2x2:2 on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz). It offers maximum data rates up to 1774 Mbps and can reliably handle up to 512 connected clients, making it ideal for busy indoor spaces.
As modern enterprises increasingly adopt non‑Wi‑Fi wireless technologies such as BLE and Zigbee, network fragmentation often becomes a challenge. The R550 addresses this by incorporating built‑in IoT radios, providing native support for Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee.
